Football and Afternoon Tea

Meanwhile in Sylvania…

The weather had finally started to warm up. So the Beaver family thought they'd enjoy the outdoors. Mrs Beaver and Renee settled down to a spot of needle point and reading, while the boys played football.

"Oh isn't this lovely, Momma!"

But the boys were kicking the ball a little too hard, first they knocked over the bin sending all the rubbish flying. It hit the bin so hard, it started off in the other direction!

"Oh no, Jerome, it's going to hit Momma and Renee!!!"

It hit the table with the tea and cakes and sent everything flying into the air!

"Quick! Lets hide!!"

But Mrs Beaver wasn't mad at all. With a little help from everyone,  the mess was cleaned up in no time. Then she took out two orange cones from Mr Beaver's tool shed and showed the boys how it was done!

"Wow Momma, you're amazing!"

The Fishing Trip - Part Two

The sea was pretty choppy, so the Mr Beaver and Mr Neptune found a little cove here the water was much calmer. The fishing there was great!

"Mr Neptune, can you eat starfish?"

After a long day rowing the boys pulled their boat back in to shore.

"Well, we're going to be having a fish feast tonight!"

The Fishing Trip - Part One

 The boys had been planning a fishing trip together for ages. As the Seafood restaurant was closed for the winter season, and Cedric Walnut was between jobs, they decided to take the opportunity and finally go.

"Brace yourselves boys, it's a bit nippy; but this is going to be a trip to remember!"

The sea was pretty choppy, but that didn't stop Mr Beaver and Mr Neptune, they love the water! Cedric Walnut on the other hand decided to fish from the shore.

"You go ahead boys, I'll wait until the water comes to me!"

Cedric thought he'd be much better use making up a base camp on the beach. There was plenty of time for fishing!

"I'm sure the boys won't mind if I crack into the beers!"

January Sales - Part 3

After a long day at the shops, the ladies decided to put their feet up and enjoy a spot of afternoon tea at Pippins Cafe.

"mmm, I could eat twenty of these salmon sardines!"

They decided it might be a good idea to get a treat for the boys, it might distract them from all the shopping bags! So to the doughnut store they went!

"I'll take one of every flavour… wait, better make that two of every flavour!"

With very sore feet, full tummies and empty purses, the ladies headed home. What a lovely day they had.

"I'm sure Mr Beaver won't notice one of the doughnuts missing!"

January Sales - Part 2

Mrs Beaver headed straight for the bargain bin at the Applewoods Department Store, it was full of little treasure!

"A book on handicrafts, I've been meaning to pick up a needle and thread for ages!"

Mrs Walnut was taking full advantage of the beauty counter assistant. 

"Mrs Neptune, come have a little pamper!"

But Mrs Neptune thought the makeover was a little bit on the heavy side!

"I thought you said it was going to be "au natural""

January Sales - Part 1

Now that the snow had all cleared, the girls bundled up for a day of shopping in the January sales! First stop, The Sylvanian Boutique.

"Oh ladies, I do hope there's some bargains to be had!"

Mrs Beavers eyes set upon the most sparkly diamond she'd ever seen! Unfortunatly, it wasn't in the sale. But the lovely costume necklace next to it was!

 

"I'll have to show Mr Beaver, valentines day is coming up!"

Yardley Walnut just couldn't resist the cute little pink heels. They would go perfectly with her silk pink party dress!

"50% off! I'll take the pair!"

Then Narrissa Neptune saw the prettiest bag she'd ever seen. A turquoise green bag shaped like a dove!

"It's so unique, I simply must have it!"

With their purses considerably lighter, they headed to The Applewood Department store to lighten them even more.

"Come on ladies, I hear there's a sale on at the makeup stand!"

New Skates!

Renee just couldn't wait to get on the ice with her brand new skates from Santa. She took to the ice like a fish to water, gliding along with the wind in her fur, when all of a sudden…

"Wait! Slow down! You'll…"

The boys misjudges the slipperiness of the ice and went crashing into the snow!

"Oh boys, how silly of you… I know just the thing"

To warm the boys up now they were freezing cold, Renee took them to Pippins Cafe for hot drinks and a little treat.

"I'll take one of those with the strawberry on top, and one with the chocolate frosting… oh, and is that butter cream? I love butter cream!"

The boys were soon all warm again and were planning their next adventure in the snow.

"So every time we get cold, we get cake? Brilliant!"
