Renee's Plant Babies

While helping her Momma in the potting shed, Renee found an old packet of seeds with the name all smudged out. She asked what the seeds could be, but her Momma didn't know, she said there was only one way to find out...
"Well we're going to have to be patient little one, it may take some time before we know what these little babies are going to grow up to be!"

So Renee waited...
...and waited. She even took them to bed with her so they wouldn't be cold and lonely out in the potting shed.

"Night night, little babies. Sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs, or any bugs for that matter, bite!"

Eventually the little plant babies started to grow too big for their pot!

"I think it's time we planted them out in the big bed, in the garden!"
"Thats a shame, I quite liked them in my bed, with me."

The whole family came to help plant the plant babies in their new home.

"Be careful boys, they're very delicate!"
"No worries, Renee. We'll be careful with them!"

Renee didn't want the plant babies to spend their first night alone in the garden. So her Poppa helped her pitch a tent up, so she could spend the night in the garden to be close to them, just in case they needed her.

"I'm just here little ones!"

Determined to make sure they all grew strong and healthy, Renee did everything to help them grow. She fed them the best plant food, watered them with refreshing water and everyday she sang to them.

"Lalalalaaaaaaaa la la la aaaa laaaaaaa"

The boys saw Renee singing away and thought if they could make a louder sound, maybe they would grow even bigger!

"Oh boys, yes, this is a wonderful idea!"

Then Mr and Mrs B heard all the noise coming from the garden. So they grabbed their favourite instruments and headed to the veggie patch to help!

"What is it we're playing?"
"I've no idea Mr B, I think it's Jazz, play whatever you feel!"

Their friends heard all the music coming from the Beavers house, and being the best friends anyone could wish for, grabbed their own instruments and joined them in the back garden, by the veggie patch to help make a bigger sound!

"Wow this is some sound!"
"You don't say! This is the first time I've played violin, Mr Walnut!"
"First time I've played the drums too, Mr B!"

The next morning while Mr B brewed his morning coffee, and read his morning paper, he heard the sound of excited screaming coming from the garden! The plants had miraculously grown over night! The music therapy had worked a treat!

"CARROTS! THE PLANT BABIES ARE CARROTS!"

Renee carefully harvested the whole crop of carrots. Mrs B told her to make sure they were fully scrubbed ready for cooking into some delicious dishes. So she gave them a bath.

"splash splash carrots taking a bath, scrubbing dirt all on Saturday night, yeah! A rub a dub, just relaxing in the tub, thinking you're gonna taste alright!"

Mr B had quite the surprise as he was taking a bath that evening.

"This is the strangest Loofah I've ever seen! It smells organic."

After he was all cleaned using the new bathroom loofah, he headed down to see what was for dinner. Mrs B and Renee were cooking tonight and it smelled d-e-licious!

"What smells so good!"
"We made carrot pizza, carrot casserole, carrot burgers and carrot cake!"
"Well I'd better try that cake, just to make sure the carrots are ok!"

Mr B scoffed down the first slice of Carrot cake. Renee waited in anticipation. Did the carrots taste ok? Where they edible? Was all her hard work for nothing???

"Well??"
"hmmm, I'm not sure, I'd better have another slice, just to be  on the safe side!"
"Poppa, why do you smell like a carrot?"

Easter egg Dilema

All the little ones in Sylvania were so excited, it was finally Easter time. They all dressed up for the occasion. But what they were most excited about, was the hunt for the chocolate eggs.

"Come on Jerome, we can't start the hunt until we all hatch out of the egg!"

One by one the little chicks came out of the egg to start the big Sylvania Easter egg hunt.

"Come on peeps, the chocolate eggs aren't going to eat themselves!"

But they couldn't find any eggs at all. Feeling frustrated,  Michael thought he would take matters into his own hands.

"What are you doing up there, Michael?"
"Well, I thought I try and lay an egg myself, I am a chick after all!"

Michael couldn't believe his eyes, his plan worked! So he ran down to tell the others!

"Look! Look! I layed a chocolate egg!"
"Michael, that's not Chocolate..."
"Eeeeeeeww!"

Renee guided the little ones in the right direction, and low and behold there were lots of delicious giant chocolate Easter eggs for them all.

"Maybe next time leave it to the Easter bunny Michael!"

Happy Easter, one and all x

The Best Mothers Day Waffles

It's Mothers day morning in Sylvania and the little ones wanted to do something special for their Momma. Mrs B makes breakfast for them every morning, so they decided to make it for her instead. They were going to cook the most delicious breakfast in bed she's ever had!

"LET'S MAKE WAFFLES!"
"Oh Michael, you've spilt the flour everywhere!"

They worked hard to get the batter just right. Renee asked Jerome to pour the mixture into the waffle iron.

"Maybe we should use the ladle, Little One?"
"Jerome, you've made more mess than me!"

After many, many, many attempts, they finally made the perfect waffles. Renee picked a flower from the garden, Jerome poured a fresh OJ, and Michael poured as much syrup as he could all over the waffles. They arranged the breakfast onto the tray, then they snook upstairs to surprise Mrs B.

"HAPPY MOTHERS DAY MOMMA!"
"We made you waffles, all by ourselves!"
"Well, I can see that! Thank you little ones, you've made my day"

Happy Mothers Day, love the Beaver Family x

cup of tea and a park bench.

The brand new flower shop had just opened in town and everyone, Mrs Beaver included, was excited to have a look around.

"Oh how lovely are those tulips, lets get some for Mr B"

The shop was hustling and bustling with flower sniffing sylvanians. Mrs B bumped into one of her best friends, Mrs Neptune with her littlest one, Sandy. They were also buying a beautiful bunch of floral loveliness.

"Mrs B! I haven't seen you for so long, would you and the boys like to join myself and Sandy for a spot of tea and cake?"
"Would we ever!"

On their way to the Bistro, they bumped into another of their very best friends, Mrs Walnut, and her two little ones Ralph and Saffron.

"Mrs Walnut! We're heading for tea and cake, join us!"
"Count me in ladies, I need to put my feet up!"

As they approached the Bistro the chef broke out in a cold sweat as he saw the group of Momma's and babies.

"Madame Vache, what do we do! There is so many of them and so many sticky little fingers!"
"Monsieur, don't fret, I'll handle this!"

Being a Nanny herself, Madame Vache knew all the babies needed was a little entertaining, so she asked them all to help her serve their Mommas their tea and cake. And help her they did!

"Oh my goodness, Michael what are you doing! Get out of the serving trolly! Thank you so much for this Madame Vache, but could we take our cakes to go? I think we've caused enough trouble for one afternoon"

The babies just had far too much energy, so they headed to the place they knew they'd get a little piece and quite... the park.

"If this doesn't wear them out, I don't know what will!"

Finally the Mommas had a minute to sit, relax, and enjoy the scrumptious cakes and have a good old catch up. Madame Vache even threw in some macaroons. She must of known they needed them!

"I could sit here with you, my friends, for hours"
"Me too Mrs B, me too"

Little did they know Michael was up to mischief... again.

"Wahoooo, I'm so fast!"

"Now Sandy, push me as high as you can, I'm going to make it to the moon!"

"TO THE MOOOOOOON!"

"AAAAAAAAAHHHH"

Luckily Michael landed in the soft shrub behind the treehouse.

"Oh Michael, whenever will you learn. Are you feeling ok? Are you hurt?"
"I don't know Momma..."
"Will a slice of cake help?"
"I think it might, yes, cake will help"

While Michael and Jerome stuffed their faces with cake, Mrs B tried to get the remainder of the bush out of Michaels clothes,

"You'd make a lovely garden topiary, Michael"
"Shall I do it again?"
"NO!"

Draw me like one of your French girls

Mr and Mrs B’s bedroom was still left unfinished, so Renee, being quite nifty with a sewing machine and having a keen eye for patterns and colours, thought she’d help them out and make the bedding and curtains herself.

They will get there bedroom finished before the decades out!

Mr and Mrs B couldn’t believe their eyes, what a wonderful surprise! The once white sheets, now a bright pink worked wonderfully with the grey and patterned fabric. They couldn’t of done a better job themselves.

“Oh Renee, we love them! We’re so proud of you!”
“We just need some art on the wall. I have an idea. Mrs B, will you join me in my studio?”

The most beautiful thing Mr B has ever drawn is his lovely wife. His idea was to make a collection of drawings celebrating just how lovely she is.

Mr B, draw me like one of your French Girls”
“I’ve only ever drawn the Eiffel Tower, but I’ll try my best!”

The drawings were all framed and mounted onto the wall. The bedroom was finally complete. Mrs B couldn’t believe how luxurious it looked!

“Look everyone! You can see Mommas bum bum!”
“It’s Art Michael, you’re so immature! I love them Momma, they’re so beautiful!”

The Christmas Tree

Mr Beaver took the little ones deep into forrest to find the perfect Christmas tree to take centre stage in their living room this year. After several hours of hiking amongst the trees, there it was, the most perfect tree Mr Beaver had ever seen.

"This is it kids, it's absolutely perfect!"
"You don't think it's slightly on the large side Poppa?"

Mr Beaver began sawing the bottom of the trunk. He asked the children to stand way back and out of the way, but they desperately wanted to help. Michael suggested they help by pushing the tree a little to help it fall.
"TIMBEAAAAAAHHHHHHR!"
"Oops, sorry Poppa!"

After much struggling and several splinters later, Mr Beaver managed to get the wonderful tree on top of the car. They drove through the town, attracting quite a lot of attention from the other Sylvanians. Mr Beaver felt proud as punch.

"Everyone is admiring our beautiful Christmas tree, kids!"
"I'm not sure that's what they're doing, Poppa"

Just as they arrived home it started to snow. Mr Beaver asked for everyones help to get the tree inside, but no matter how hard they pushed, shoved and pulled, it just wouldn't fit through the front door.

"Maybe if I just took the door off it's hinges I could..."
"Oh no you don't MR B! The tree will have to stay outside!"

It looked like they would have to decorate the tree outside this year. Mrs Beaver had a grand idea...

"I'm sorry family, I really thought it would fit"
"Oh don't worry Mr B, I have a great idea. Let's have Christmas outside!"
"YAY! Why would we want to be stuck inside when it's so beautiful outside?"

So it was decided, Christmas was going to be outside this year. But Michael and Jerome were quite concerned. What if Father Christmas went down the chimney, couldn't see the tree so wouldn't leave them any presents?! Michael decided to make sure Santa would know.

"That should do it Jerome, I'm pretty sure Santa can see it from the sky!"

But there was no need to worry, Santa knew exactly where the tree was. The outside Christmas was proving to be a splendid idea. The Christmas dinner was extremely delicious, but half way through Mr Beaver suggested that maybe they ate the rest inside. everybody was starting to loose feeling in their hands.

"Well it's been rather lovely and a nice change of scenery, but how about we go warm our bottoms in front of a nice warm fire!"

"Merry Christmas Everyone!"

Laundry Day

After a busy summer, the house was finally quiet and Mr Beaver could catch up on chores that had been put off for some time. He tightened his apron, pulled out his feather duster and got to it.

"Boy oh Boy the living room is dusty!"

Once downstairs was spick and span, he headed upstairs. Now Mrs B always did the laundry, she was quite clear that Mr B should leave that job to her. But Mr B had other ideas.

"I think I'll surprise Mrs B and do all the white sheets, she'll be so pleased!"

Mr B loaded the machine with as many white sheets as he could fit in. He poured in the washing detergent and softener, like he had seen Mrs B do, then pressed 'GO'. But just as the machine had started to fill with water, he noticed something else in there with the white sheets.

"Oh look, my missing red sock!
I've been looking for you everywhere.
How on earth did you get in there?
Oh well, Im sure it will be fine"

Mr B was quite pleased with himself, he had all the washing out to dry as Mrs B came home from the village with Jerome. But the sheets did look little different to when they went into the machine, they now had a slight tint of pink. Mr B was sure Mrs B wouldn't notice.

"Mrs Beaver what happened to the sheets!?"
"I found my red sock Mrs B, look!"
"Oh, I can see that!"

Maybe next time Mr Beaver will listen to Mrs Beaver and leave the laundry to her.
