November Rain

Michael looked out of his bedroom window to see the heavy November rain falling to the ground, creating the biggest puddles he'd ever seen. The rest of the Beaver family thought it was perfect weather to snuggle up by a cozy fire with a hot cup of cocoa, but not Michael. Michael put on his outdoor gear, found his tricycle and went puddle hunting!

"That's it, thats the one!"

Renee saw Michael sneak out of the house, so she jumped onto her bicycle to catch him up. But she was a moment too late!

"KOWABUNGAAAAA!"

With his little legs peddling as fast as they could, he went through the puddle with the biggest SPLASH he'd ever seen! But at the last moment, Michael lost his footing and came of his tricycle with a great big SPLOSH!

"Oh Michael, what will Momma say? You'll catch the flu if we don't get you home right away!"

As soon as he was home, Mrs Beaver put him into a nice warm bubble bath. It was so warm and bubbly, he didn't want to get out.

"Come on little one, you're beginning to look like a sultana!"
It took Mrs Beaver quite sometime to get him out!

"You know Momma, the only thing I like better than puddles, is BUBBLES!"
"I can see that, little one."
"Can I take Mr Ducky to bed?"
"No."

Mr and Mrs Beaver arrived home from their lovely romantic trip to Paris, to find their house completely transformed! Mr Neptune who was looking after the little ones while they were away, took it upon himself to decorate the Beavers house for Halloween!

"Well, things have certainly changed since we left 3 days ago!"

Michael couldn't wait to give his Momma and Poppa a big welcome cuddle. He ran as fast as his little legs could carry him only something was holding him back.

"Oh Sweetheart, you're supposed to decorate the house, not yourself!"

Mr Beaver put his hands on his hips, raised his eyebrows and proclaimed that this just wouldn't do.

"If we're going to decorate the house for Halloween, we're going to do it properly!"

With helping hand from all the family, the Beavers had the scariest house in the whole of Sylvania! Maybe a bit too scary...

"Poppa, I can see through my hands!"

City of Lights

In Mr Beavers studio, he was finding it really hard to find any kind of inspiration. No matter what he did, the page stayed white.

"hmmmmm!"

But he had an idea that might be just the thing he needed and would please Mrs Beaver too!

"Mrs Beaver, pack your case. We're going to Paris!"
"Oh my word, I've always wanted to go!"

Its seems Paris was just the inspiration Mr Beaver needed. Surrounded by so much history and beauty, he painted in front for the Eiffel tower for hours!

"What a beautiful city!"

While Mr Beaver was busy painting, Mrs Beaver hit the boutiques along the Champ-Elysees for some serious shopping!

"Oh the Arc de triomphe! How splendid!"

After so much time on her feet, it was time to rest them in a little French Bistro.

"I couldn't come to Paris without a croissant and a glass of Champagne!
(I better take Mr Beaver some too to soften the blow!)

Mrs Beaver arrived back at the hotel and started to worry that maybe she'd gone a little over the top, so she tried to hide some of the bags!

"Oh dear, there really is quite a lot here. What will he say?"

Mrs Beaver had a croissant on hand to distract Mr Beaver when he arrived back at the hotel after a long day of painting. But she need not of worried.

"Mrs Beaver, you deserve all of it. You do so much for us.
Anyway, I sold a painting to a lovely french gentleman that more than covers it!"

Mr Beaver was so hungry after painting all day, so he suggested treating them to a spot of room service.

"Mr Beaver, you have the best ideas!"

To finish their wonderful trip, they sat and watched as the sun set out of the window, snuggled in the hotel dressing gowns with some wonderful French Champagne.

"Oh Mr Beaver, I do love you"
"and I you Mrs Beaver, and I you"

Back to School

It's that time of year again. Mrs Beaver arranged Michael and Renee in front of the door to get the obligatory back to school photo.

"Hurry up Momma, we'll be late!"
"Wait there little ones, just one more, say WE LOVE LEARNING!"

Mr Springer was so happy to see everyone after the summer break. But as soon as the class were settled at their desks inside, Mr Springer asked them all to follow him outside into the school yard.

"I hope you had a wonderful summer class! Our first lesson will be held outside, bring your spades and trowels!"

The first lesson of the year would be to learn where all their food came from. So the class got busy tending to the vegetable patches full of delicious colourful vegetables.

"Look at all the beautiful butterflies!"
"No time to dawdle, get harvesting all those yummy Veg. We'll be cooking the whole schools lunch with them!"

Mr Springers class gathered all the vegetables to take to the kitchen, but just as they were heading in doors poor little Thomas Fielding tripped over spilling cauliflowers, lettuce and cabbages all over the floor!

"Im so sorry everybody, what a waste of food!"
"Don't worry little one, all the veggies came from the ground, we have to wash them first, you haven't wasted any!"

Everyone mucked in cleaning, scrubbing and peeling all the veggies from the plot. It was messy work, but fun to do together!

"I didn't know anything could be so dirty!"
"You should see Michael before he has a bath!"

The class worked hard preparing lunch for the school, but boy was it worth it. The fresh veggies looked like a rainbow of scrummynous, they were so delicious everyone went back for seconds!

"We'll definitely be getting our 5 a day today... But Freya, you only have carrots?!"
"Yes, but I have 5 of them, that counts right?!"

New Born

Mrs Beaver and Mrs Neptune got Mrs Walnut to the Country Clinic just in time. They all had their fingers crossed that Mr Walnut would get there soon too!

"Don't worry Mrs Walnut, I've spoken to Mr Beaver and they're on their way!"

Mr Walnut put his foot down and raced through town in his fancy sports car. He wasn't going to miss his baby being born for anything!

"I don't think this is the most practical family car, Mr Walnut!"

Luckily he made it just in time! But all the rushing around and seeing Mrs Walnut in hospital started to take it's toll...

"You just made it! But are you ok Mr Walnut? You look a little pale!"

Mr Walnut started to feel dizzy and
strange. Then all of a sudden, he fell to the floor with a thud!

"Mrs Walnut, Your husband has passed out!"
"Oh for goodness sake, Mr Walnut, I'm the one having the baby!"

Nurse Periwinkle wheeled Mr Walnut out of the delivery room, there was a nasty bump appearing on his head.

"Come on Mr Walnut lets get you bandaged up!"

Mr Walnut recovered just in time to see the newest member of the Walnut family being born. Little Saffron Walnut arrived soon after to meet her new baby... BROTHER!

"I brought you your first acorn little brother. I think we should call him Ralf Momma!"
"Oh sweetheart, I think the acorns a little big for him just yet, but I do like that name..."

As they were leaving the clinic, Mr Walnut came over all funny again so Mr Beaver had to wheel him out.

"This way Mr Beaver, a little faster if you don't mind, put some welly into it!"

Mrs Walnut was not very impressed at all.

"I think I might need your help with your baby brother, Saffron, just while your Poppa recovers from his 'injury'"

Schools out for summer!

The Children of Berry Grove were so excited, it was the last day of School and time for the Summer Holidays!

"YAAAAY, SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER!"

As soon as the bell rang, Renee and her best friends all headed to The Beavers house for an after school party! They couldn't wait to get summer started.

"Oh girls, you're going to have a wonderful time!"

No party would be complete with out PIZZA! So the girls got to making them from scratch. They promised Mrs Beaver they'd clear up all the mess.

"Freya, is yours a Broccoli pizza?"
"Yep, it's my favourite!"

They changed into their summer clothes and headed to the garden with their pizza picnic. They were so excited to write down all their ideas for summer activities. Renee was trying to write them down but she could barley keep up!

"Slow down girls! I can't write that fast!"

When they had finally sorted out their long list of summer activities, Mrs Beaver came running out of the house quite frantically holding little Saffron Walnut and all the other little ones hands.

"Girls I need your help! Mrs Walnut has going to have the baby. Can you look after the children while we go to the hospital?"
"Of course we will Momma!"

It looks like their summer of fun will be on hold a little while longer!

Plastic Pollution

It was such a lovely evening, so after their ice creams, they all decided to go for a lovely stroll along the beach. But it wasn't long before they were stopped in their tracks by lots of rubbish and plastic waste all over the beach! Renee and Shelly couldn't believe their eyes!

"Oh no, this is terrible!"

The girls were very upset by what they had seen, but they had an idea. On Monday morning they spoke to their teacher Mr Springer. They wanted to take the whole class down to the beach to help clean it up and let everyone know about the damage they were causing to the beautiful beach and wonderful sea life. Mr Springer loved the idea!

"I think what you want to do is so wonderful and very thoughtful, lets all get involved!"

The whole class got to work on making banners collecting boxes from home to help clean up the beach. Then the pupils of Berry Grove School started to make a difference.

"SAVE THE SEALIFE!"
"NO PLASTIC WASTE!"
"KEEP OUR BEACHES CLEAN!"

The Sylvanian Press heard about the Berry Grove School demonstration and came down to the beach to report on it. The pupils couldn't quite believe it, they were going to be in the Sylvanian local news.

"We at the Sylvanian Press think what you are doing is marvellous Mr Springer!"
"Oh it isn't me, Mr press man, its the children of Berry Grove School, their the ones making the difference!"

The next day, Mr Beaver went to collect the daily newspaper and to his surprise, their was Renee, right on the front page!

"By George! I can't quite believe it!"

Mr Beaver felt so proud of what the children had done.

"I think its about time us grown ups make a difference too!"

A Place by the Sea

The little ones were going to the lovely Neptune's house for tea and they couldn't wait as they lived in a big beautiful Lighthouse by the sea.

"Oh my goodness, your home is so beautiful!"

Mrs Neptune was at the door to greet them all. It was such a beautiful afternoon, she decided to make them a yummy BBQ tea.

"Now go and wash your hands and change out of your uniforms.
Mr Neptunes heating up the BBQ so tea will be ready very soon"

While Mr Neptune was cooking up a storm on the red hot BBQ, Mrs Neptune served her colourful salads and seasoned vegetables in the biggest Seashells The Beavers had ever seen!

"Oh my goodness, can you imagine the sea creatures who used to live in these massive shells?!"

Tea was so delicious and everyone was absolutly stuffed. That was until Mrs Neptune brought out a platter of scrumptious looking ice-creams. Suddenly, they were not so full after all.

"Mr Neptune, let the little ones choose first!"

What a perfect afternoon it was, finished off with yummy ice-creams and listening to the sounds of the ocean.

"Thank you for all you do, Mrs Neptune. We love you so very much"

The little ones hopped down the cliff side to get a closer look at the sparkling ocean.

"If we look long enough, do you think we'll see one of those giant sea creatures?"
"Maybe, but our ice-creams will probably melt by then!"

Dadchellor Party

The boys thought it would be nice to throw Mr Walnut a 'Dadchellor' party to celebrate the imminent arrival of the new Walnut family member. So Mr Beaver bought the beers and Mr Neptune brought the cards. They weren't too sure how to play (anything), but they were having fun all the same.

"Thank you Gents, this is just what I needed"

The door bell rang. It was time for the main event.

"Pizza's here boys!"

It'd been quite a while since the boys had got together, they decided to do it a lot more. Pizza and card night every other Wednesday it was. Maybe eventually they'd learn how to play something properly.

"You boys are the best friends a chap could ask for!"
