Mischief Managed

Mrs Beaver called the Neptunes as soon as they landed in France.

"Mr Neptune, Mrs B has just called apparently the little ones are on the roof!"
"Don't worry, my dear, I've got the little roof-top rascals!"
"It's okay, Mrs B, they're back down!"

Knowing that the little ones were safe, the Beavers picked up their higher car (that happened to be a two seater convertible!) and headed into Paris centre!

"Mr B, I do love the busy city traffic!"
"I'm glad one of us does!"

To de-stress after the long drive, Mr B set up his traveling art studio and got to painting the Eiffel Tower.

"I'll never not love painting this!"

Then he pusuaded Mrs B to stop by his most favourite building in all of France. Sleeping Beauty's castle at Disneyland Paris!

"Mr B, If the little ones find out we've been here without them, they're not going to be very happy with us!"

When they arrived home after their wonderful trip, Mr B decided to get his painted framed before picking up the little ones.

"Let me take pictures and put them on-line, I bet you'll get lots of interest on an on-line shop"
"On what line, Mrs B? A washing line?"

Next stop was to pick up the little ones. They really couldn't wait to hear all about their seaside getaway!

"MOMMA POPPA! YOU'RE HERE!"
"Oh we've missed you so much! How was your stay?"
"You might want to sit down in the deck chair for this, we've had quite an adventure"

Trip to Paris

Mrs B, suggested a little trip to Paris to get Mr B's creative juices flowing. He needed more paintings for his gallery as he'd sold all of his beach collection. The Neptune's offered to take the little ones for the weekend.

"Thank you so much for this! Now little ones, you behave for the Neptunes or we'll be getting a plane straight back!"

So off they went on their little adventure.

"Oh Mr B, I do love the airport. There's something so exciting about them!"

When checking in, they had a wonderful surprise. They had been upgraded to first class!

"I can't quite believe it Mr B! First class, oh I do feel posh!"

With first class came the complimentary Sylvanian Air Champaign Lounge. The Beavers where in airport bliss!

"Is it bad that I'm not worried about the little ones?"
"Not at all, Mrs B, they'll be absolutely fine!"

But as they settled in their first class seats, and the plane took off over Sylvania, they spotted the lighthouse, and with it some mischief was happening!

"Mr Beaver? Is that Michael and Jerome on the roof?!"
"we shall call the Neptunes as soon as we land!"

Mr B's New Gallery

Mr Beaver, contacted his good friend, Mr Walnut, about the possibility of purchasing a property that could potentially be his gallery for his paintings. Mr Walnut had just the perfect place in mind!

"You know, Mr Beaver, I think this is it!"

Just like that, Mr B, bought the building. He just had to tell Mrs B now!

"I can't wait for opening night, Mr B!"

So that everyone was in good spirits before telling them he'd bought the gallery, Mr B treated the whole family to ice cream!

"How's your cookie dough Mrs B?"
"Delicious. Now why are we eating our delicious ice-creams in here? and why is it filled with your paintings?
"Well, I might have bought it!"

Mrs B, being supportive as ever, began to organise the gallery opening night. She was going to help make it a real success!

"Well here goes, Mrs B. Thank you for everything. I don't know what I'd do without you, the gallery looks incredible!"
"Mr B, it's your paintings that make it incredible. Now cheers to what will be a great evening!"

Opening night was a roaring success! Before Mr B evening finished his opening speech he sold his first painting!

"I want to thank you all for coming to my..."
"I'LL TAKE IT! SOLD!"
"Oh, right, great, yes!"

Mr B sold every painting. He couldn't quite believe it!

"I believe it dear, your marvellous!"
"Now we just have to get them ready for shipping!"

While wrapping and organising all the sold paintings, Michael decided to try his hand at a little bit of art.

"This is pretty easy!"

"If Poppa can sell all his paintings and make some cash, I reckon I can too! I need me a new set of tricycle wheels!"

Tuesday, 12 July 2022

Mr Beaver was having a real bad case of Artists block.

"I just don't have any idea what to paint. Maybe a sandwich will help?"

Mrs Beaver suggested he take a little trip, see if he could find any inspiration in the big outdoors?

"Here you are Mr B, and I've packed you a nice sandwich. I know how they help you paint"
"Thank you, love. Lets hope they help."

Mr B hiked all the way to the top of a nearby cliff, he was starting to feel a twinge of inspiration.

"Oh yes, I feel I must paint!"

It was like magic. Mr B's Artists block was evaporating with every stroke of the brush.

"aaaah, that feels better. I've defiantly earned that sandwich Mrs B packed. I hope it's cheese and pickle, or a peanut butter and jam, either one really."

He settled down into his deck chair and enjoying the seen and what he'd just painted. When he noticed some kite surfers frolicking in the waves.

"I think I better leave the second half of this sandwich, I simply must paint those kite surfers!"

With inspiration in full swing, Mr B headed back down to the beach to paint.

"Marvellous, just marvellous. One doesn't have to get ones feet wet to get involved in such strenuous activities. I can't wait to show Mrs B!"

After a long afternoon of painting, Mr B felt so much better. His Artistic flare was well and truly back!

"Oh Mr B, these are fantastic! I think you're ready for your first exhibition!"
"Do you really think so?"
"Yes, I do. Next job is to find a venue!"

and so it is to be continued...

Should have gone to Specsylvania

Every year, Mr and Mrs B loved to make the Christmas cake together.

"Mr B, have you been eating some of this dried fruit?"

"Nope"

Especially when it was time to use the brandy.

"One for me, one for you, and one for the cake"

But it was always a struggle the following morning.

"You two always have a headache after baking the Christmas cake, I think you might be allergic. And Poppa, I found your glasses, I think they broke!"
"Great..."

Mrs Beaver insisted they go into town to buy Mr Beaver new glasses. Even though it was going to be very busy with Christmas shoppers. The fresh air would do them good!

"look at all the lovely decorations going up, Mr B"
"I can't see a thing, Mrs B"
"Right, let's get you to the opticians!"

It wasn't long before they got to the shop.

"aaah, here we are!"

The optician was very surprised Mr B's glasses had lasted this long!

"Very poor quality I'm afraid, you should have come to Specsylvania!"

Mr B found the perfect pair! Very different to what he would usually go for.

"So sophisticated, Mr B!"
"I'll take them!"

As Mr B left the store, he felt like he was seeing everything in High Definition!

"Will you look at all these lights, how beautiful! For being so patient with me Mrs B, I'd like to take you shopping for a treat!"
"Mr B, you don't have to do that... I have had my eye on something though..."

So Mr and Mrs B wondered down the highstreet to pick out something special.

"It's in here, Mr B!"

"Look at those shoes!"
"you must try them on, Mrs B!"

"Oh yes, they're perfect! I saw a hat that would look fabulous with them!"

a few hours later...

"I think I'm done Mr B, just one more stop before home!"
"right..."

"Oh look, it's snowing!"
"My arms are getting very tired Mrs B, can we stop and look at the snow another time!"

But when they turned the corner, there was a surprise for Mr B.

"Here we are! I'm treating you to lunch, whatever you like, my treat, Mr B!"
"Oh Mrs B, I do love you!"

So Mr B ordered one of his favourite, special meals. Champagne Afternoon Tea.

"This is Devine, Mrs B. I'm just a little worried about carrying all those bags home!"
"Don't you worry, I've called for reinforcements!"

Waiting outside was the sweetest taxi service you ever did see.

"Come on folks, on you pop, we haven't got all day!"
"Merry Christmas, Everyone!"
