The Sylvanian Christmas Markets

The Beaver family were extremely excited about this years Christmas Market. It was set up right in the centre of the village.

"Oh my goodness, Mr Beaver stay close, I may need your wallet!"

Renee had been practising hard with the Berry Grove School band. The are performing Christmas songs to all the shoppers at the market.

"Ok guys, we've got this.Lets start with Jingle Bells, a real crowd pleaser!"

Mrs Beaver didn't know she needed it until she found it, but she found a christmas tapestry that would look wonderful in their lounge room.

"Now were's Mr Beaver and his wallet gone?"

But Mr Beaver was nowhere to be found. Then she heard the loudest noise, and she knew exactly where he was. Mr Beaver was front and centre singing along with the band!

"DING DONG MERILY ON HIGH!"
"Oh Mr Beaver, what are you like?"

After emptying Mr Beavers wallet, they all headed for the tram home.

"Do you think we'll get on with all these extra things?"

Pushed together like little sardines in a tin they all made it onto the tram. What a wonderful time they had at the markets. They couldn't wait until next year!

"Who wants hot chocolates when we get home?!"

Autumn Leaves

Mrs Beaver was busy sweeping all the Autumn leaves from the path. It was taking her quite some time, once she'd clear the path it seemed to fill with leaves all over again.

"Look at that big pile of leaves over there!"
"MICHAEL NO!!!!"

But it was too late. Before Mrs Beaver could finish what she was saying, little Michael had cycled his trike right through the pile of leaves!

"WEEEEEEEEEEE"
The beautiful leaves were flying everywhere, it was like orange red and orange snow! But when turned around and saw his Momma's sad face, he felt very bad. She'd worked all morning to clear the leaves only to be right back at the beginning. So he found his little trowel and fork and got to helping clear up the mess he'd made.

"Im sorry Momma, I just couldn't help myself"
"Don't worry little one, I guess two hands are better than one!"

Halloween mischeif

All of the children gathered around the grounds of Berry Grove School for the Halloween festivities. They had done a grand job of decorating the School to look like a haunted house. The little ones especially loved the miniature haunted village.

"Jerome, I think you could fit inside the little house"
"I could try!"
Then Michael saw the witches Broomsticks parked up by the School wall and had an idea!

"Quick, help me sweep up all these leaves!"
"You are so helpful Michael"

Once his little bucket was full to the top with Autumn leaves, he found a set of ladders and placed it high up ontop of the school doors.

"You be careful up there!"

He timed it perfectly, when his sister Renee came out of the doors to show everyone her new home made halloween costume, she was showered in leaves.

"Oh my! It'smust be the spirits of halloween!"
"hee hee hee!"

Halloween preparations

It's that time of year again, when all things spooky are celebrated here in Sylvania. Mr Springfield wants Berry Grove School be at the centre of all the celebrations this year with a Halloween Festival right on the school grounds.

"Oh I love Halloween!"

The children were tasked with transforming the School into a haunted mansion. Everyone was so excited!

"Look Freya has made a tiny haunted house!"
"Wow!"

Freya Chocolate had worked hard on her miniature version of her very own haunted house.

"Its amazing Freya, I wish we were small enough to visit!"
"I don't think I would be brave enough!" confessed Barker

Some of the parents came to help decorate the exterior of the school. The children were surprisingly good at bossing them about!

"No Mr Beaver higher. No higher! We said HIGHER!"

Back To School

Everyone gets a little nervous the first day back at School, and Renee was especially nervous. It was her first day at Berry Grove School. She put on her brand new School uniform, filled her satchel with her favourite pencils and pens and set off on her way.

"Smile for the camera, Renee.
I need to take your 'by the front door back to school photo'"
But Renee didn't need to worry at all. When she arrived at the school gates her best friends were all there to greet her, along with some new faces too.

"I have a feeling today is going to be a great day!"
The School bell rang, all the children started to file into their new School.

"I can't wait to see our new classroom!"
"And to meet our new teacher!"
Renee found her desk, it was in a great spot. Then in walked their new teacher, he looked very nice and very clever too. He was from Australia!

"g'day kids! I'm your new teacher 'Mr Springer', I can tell we're going to have a bonza time!"

Welcome to the World

Mrs Walnuts closest friends gathered at Pippins Cafe for her baby shower. Everyone pitched in to buy Mrs Walnuts gift, a great big 'nappy bouquet'. But Mrs Walnut couldn't understand why there were so many!

"Surly I won't be needing that many nappies?!"
"Oh Mrs Walnut" replied Mrs Beaver, "This is just the begining"
Just as Mrs Walnut was tucking into a delicious chocolate and pineapple tart, she felt something and dropped the whole tray of cakes.

"Ladies, I don't want to break up the party early, but I think the babies on its way… NOW!"
Mrs Neptune called Mr Walnut immediately. He pulled up to the cafe in quite the panic!

"Oh dear, I don't think a 4 litre convertible sports car is the most
practical transport for a new born baby is it Mrs Polaris"
Mr Walnut drove like the wind (of course he stayed within the limitations of the Sylvanian road restrictions) and got Mrs Walnut to the Country Clinic in a flash. She was now in the good hands of Dr Nettlefield and Nurse Cottontail.

"Don't worry Mr Walnut, we'll take good care of them!"
Mr Walnut was pacing the reception floor when The Beavers walked into the Clinic.

"Thank Goodness you're here! I simply couldn't do this without you!"
"Now sit down Mr Walnut and have a brew, she'll be sometime yet."
Then finally the new arrival was born. Mr and Mrs Walnut had a new bouncing baby…. GIRL!

"She's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen"
Mr and Mrs Walnut couldn't wait for the Beavers to see the new addition to their little family.

"Say hello to little baby Saffron"
"She's just perfect!"

Clang Clang Clang went the trolly!

After what seemed like hours, finally the beautiful red Tram turned the corner onto the high street, and the Beavers got their first glimpse of it. It was well worth the wait!

"O my! Its so beautiful, Poppa!"

The whole family excitedly boarded the beautiful red Tram. The village looked on and waved as they passed through the busy streets. What a ride!

"We're almost at our stop, family!"

After such a fantastic time, Mr Beaver treated the whole family to some baked treats from the Brick Oven Bakery. They sat outside so they could watch the Tram pass with lots of other excited passengers.

"Who wants a special caramel, peanut butter and banana slice?"

"Igh whouuld fang uoo"

"Michael, don't talk with your mouth full!"

Everyone was busy tucking into their pastries when the Walnuts drove by.

"Well hello, now they do smell good!
Come on Mrs Walnut, lets get some pain au chocolat!"

Mrs Walnut was so much bigger, she looked about to POP! Mrs Beaver said it was about time they had a baby shower before it was too late!

"Now meet us tomorrow at 3 at Pippins cafe.
you're going to have a baby shower you won't ever forget!"

"Mrs Beaver, you are the bestests friend a girl could ask for!"

Extra! Extra! read all about it!

It was a beautiful day in Sylvania and the Beaver family were starting it the right way with a lovely big family breakfast. They were just discussing what to do with their day when Mr Beaver came across some very exciting news in the newspaper.

"Well I'll be darned, they've built tram lines in the village centre!"

The little ones couldn't believe it!

"Oh my goodness, I'm so excited!"
"RENEE YOUR CEREAL!!"

"OOps!"
The Beaver family collected their Tram tickets from the ticket machine and waited in anticipation.

"Poppa, when will it come, I'm far too excted!"
"Me too, little one. Me too"

The Garden Party

The weather has been so glorious, the Beavers decided to have a garden party and invite all their best friends.

"Thank you for inviting us Mrs and Mrs Beaver, its such a wonderful party!"

But it didn't take long before Michael started to get into mischief.

"Oh dear, you're going to get into a lot of trouble!"

But nobody noticed what was going on. Mrs Beaver and Mrs Neptune were busy trying to cool down poor Mrs Walnut who was struggling being pregnant in this heat!

"You are the best friends a squirrel could ask for!"

The boys were too busy tending to the BBQ and enjoying the refreshments to notice.

"The potatoes are almost done!"

By the time anybody noticed what the little ones had been up to, the Beavers garden party had turned into a foam party!

" MICHAEL, SANDY, NO!!!"

Clearing up was quite the mission after the party, especially after what the little ones did in the paddling pool. But everyone helped out and got the job was done in no time.

"now thats the last one I think!"

Finally, Mrs and Mr Beaver could enjoy a well earned glass of champagne on their balcony.

"Oh Mr Beaver, the best part of the day is ending it with you"

Big News in Sylvania

Mrs Walnut called Mrs Beaver to see if she could get the girls together for some tea and cake. She had some big news to tell everyone.

"Oh yes of course, I'll give Mrs Neptune a call. Meet at Pippins Cafe at 1.00 "

After settling down to some lovely Earl Grey tea and slice of strawberry short cake, Mrs Walnut was ready to tell the girls her big news.

"Ladies, Mr Walnut and I are going to have a baby"
"Oh Mrs Walnut, thats the most wonderful news I've ever heard!"

The next day, Mrs Beaver accompanied Mrs Walnut for her first check up at the Country Clinic.

"Look at all the babies, Mrs Beaver! My heart just melted!"

Dr Ramsey Nettlefield started with a top to toe check up. But when he asked Mrs Walnut to step on the scale she was a little shocked!

"Oh dear, oh dear!"
"Mrs Walnut, you have a baby growing in your tummy, don't be alarmed"

Then finally Mrs Walnut got to see her baby for the first time.

"Oh Dr Nettlefield, its the most precious thing I've ever seen. Thank you!"

Holiday Laundry

The worst part about returning home from holiday is all of the washing and ironing that needs doing. Poor Mrs Beaver was left alone in the laundry room to do it all by herself.

"There's so much to do. When will it end?"

She was busy organising the whites from the colours when out of the corner of her eye she saw a movement in one of the many washing baskets, then...

"RAAAAAHHHH! Did I scare you Momma?!"

Mr Beaver came in and saw all the chaos. This just wouldn't do. He gathered the whole family in the laundry room and allocated them all jobs. Then he ordered Mrs Beaver to sit down, enjoy a nice cup of tea and a lovely slice of cake.

"You've done quite enough Mrs B. This family works as a team,  isn't that right little ones?! "
"Yes Poppa"
